Kota Kinabalu city life versus island resort.We can choose to  have them both.This is the beauty of Kota Kinabalu city.In this release, I put some memorable pictures taken at Sapi island, one of  the  five islands that makes up Kinabalu Marine Park.

Kinabalu Marine Park is own and manage by Sabah state goverment.Seeing the city from island perspective is such a relaxing experience.Seeing is believing that's how best to describe it.Since the price tag is extremely reasonable ,I just can't wait to do this again.

Sandakan Crocodile Farm

Continues support  has prompted me to update this blog.For the next few editions, I will be featuring places of interest within Kota Kinabalu vicinity area.

Tuaran Crocodile farm is the branch of the Sandakan Crocodile farm with most of the crocodiles originated from the parent crocodile farm in Sandakan.

Located along the Sulaman highway, the farm can be reached within 40 minutes   drive from Kota Kinabalu.For travellers on the way to mount Kinabalu climbing  or beach resort escape in Tuaran,the farm is an ideal stop over point before proceeding to their final destination of choice. Live crocodile show is available very much similar to that of in Sandakan crocodile farm.

Lok Awi Wild Life Center

Lok Kawi Wild Life  Park is what the title is all about.Located along Papar - Kota Kinabalu old road, the wild life park  is reachable within 30 minutes from Kota Kinabalu city making it a must stop venue for nature lovers.The center hosts  wild animals some of which are brought from as far as Africa.

The park which is opened in year 2007  sprawl over an area of  280 acres  is consist of zoological park and botanical garden.During my visit to the park, I only focused more on the animals and rather than the botanical garden 

Sleeping in the sun  

The park is manage by Sabah goverment agencies.Life animal show is available and is very popular among the kids.For Malaysian visitors, entrance fee is RM10 for adult and RM5 for children whereas for foreign visitors the fees is double of that figures.

However one cannot expect to have a truly wild life experience as the park practice a zoological concept.

Those enthusiast who wants more than just zoological  park concept, place like Labuk Bay Probosis Monkey sanctuary in Sandakan is highly reccomended.
